Putting some work into my pond this week. It really needs a re-start. What I mean is I need to pull out the rocks on the bottom of the pond and completely clear the vegetation. I think I want to put in lily pads.
I think the fish are enjoying cleaner water, and with overgrowth removed, more space to swim.
I need to go work on a bill today, then my friend Dave is coming to visit. I am having a staycation this week, and he and I are building two closets - one in my older son’s room, and the other in our guest room.

Your pond will have its own ecosystem of sorts, so don’t change too much all in one go! Also when removing vegetation from it it's good to leave it by the side of the pond for a day so all the beasties can crawl back in
